Mount Merapi (Gunung Merapi), Java, Indonesia

Mount Merapi, Gunung Merapi in Indonesian language, is a conical volcano located on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is the most active volcano in Indonesia and has erupted regularly since 1548. Its name means Mountain of Fire. It is very close to the city of Yogyakarta, and thousands of people live on the flanks of the volcano, with villages as high as 1700 m above sea level.

Tungurahua - an active stratovolcano in Ecuador

Tungurahua is an active stratovolcano located in the Cordillera Central of Ecuador. The volcano gives name to the province of Tungurahua. Volcanic activity restarted in 1999 and is ongoing as of 2008 with a major eruption on August 16 2006.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial, South Dakota, USA

Mount Rushmore National Memorial, near Keystone, South Dakota, is a monumental granite sculpture located within the United States Presidential Memorial that represents the first 150 years of the history of the United States of America with 60-foot (18 m) sculptures of the heads of former U.S. Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. The entire memorial covers 1,278 acres (5.17 kmĀ²), and is 5,725 feet (1,745 m) above sea level. It is managed by the National Park Service, a bureau of the United States Department of the Interior. The memorial attracts approximately 2 million people annually.
