Aswan Dam video, Aswan, Egypt

Aswan is a city on the first cataract of the Nile in Egypt. Two dams straddle the river at this point: the newer Aswan High Dam (Arabic: السد العالي; transliterated: as-Sad al-’Aly), and the older Aswan Dam or Aswan Low Dam.

The Bridge of Sighs or Ponte dei Sospiri, Venice, Italy

The Bridge of Sighs or Ponte dei Sospiri is one of many bridges in Venice. It passes over the Rio di Palazzo and connects the old prisons to the interrogation rooms in the Doge’s Palace. The bridge was built in the 16th century and only given the name Bridge of Sighs in the 19th century, by Lord Byron.

The Trevi Fountain (in Italian, Fontana di Trevi), Rome, Italy

The Trevi Fountain (in Italian, Fontana di Trevi) is the largest — standing 85 feet high (25.9 meters) and 65 feet wide (19.8 meters) — and most ambitious of the Baroque fountains of Rome. According to the current political division of the center of Rome, it is placed in the rione Trevi.
